Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is your cancellation policy?

A 48-hour cancellation or change of tour notice is required for all airplane tours. If for any reason you decide to cancel or change your reservation, you must notify us 48-hours prior to the tour date/time. Cancellations, changes, or no-shows within 48-hours of the tour are not refundable and will be charged in full. Routes and flight patterns subject to change due to weather conditions.

  • Do you offer transportation?

Uber and local taxis are available to and from our location at the Lihue Airport

  • Are taxes and fuel surcharges included in the price?

Yes, we have no other added fees.

  • What if the weather is bad? Do we get a refund?

Should your flight be delayed or canceled due to inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule. In the event that rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund.

  • Will I see everything in your tour description?

Every attempt will be made by our pilots to cover each site described, weather permitting. Pilots will adjust their flight path for wind and weather and may include alternate sites. You will have the very best air tour of Kauai possible! However, your safety and comfort come first!

  • What should I wear?

For our Open Door Helicopter Tour we recommend brining a sweater or jacket.

For our airplane tour we recommend wearing comfortable dark colored shirt to minimize any glare.

  • Should we bring a camera?

Yes, we encourage passengers to bring their cameras. We also provide phone lanyards for passengers flying in our open-door helicopters.

  • How many people does our Helicopters and Airplane hold?

Our Helicopters holds 3 passengers and our airplane holds 4 passengers, everyone gets a window seat.

  • When should I do my tour?

We recommend doing your tour in the beginning of your stay. Reason being that if the weather is marginal we can reschedule your tour to another day, also your pilot will be giving you many unique and special places to visit during your stay which you will not want to miss out on.

  • Do I tip my pilot?

Tipping is not required but is always appreciated.

  • How do we prepare for our flight?

Your check-in time is 45 minutes prior to your flight time. Per FAA regulations, we need to determine each passengerโ€™s exact weight including shoes, all clothing, and personal belongings such as camera equipment and purses. It is therefore necessary that you bring to your check-in everything that you would like to wear and have with you on your tour. You do not need to actually wear your warm layers at check-in, but you do need to hold them when stepping onto our scale. On a doors-on flight, we recommend that you wear dark outer layers to minimize reflection in the windows during photography. Because you are not exposed to the elements, whatever clothing you are comfortable with at sea level is adequate for your flight. An open-door experience is exciting and fun and we want you to enjoy your flight without being distracted by wind or chill. A warm outer layer that you can zip up, such as a windproof jacket, is ideal. We strongly advise against wind-susceptible clothing such as dresses and hooded items. In winter, long pants are highly recommended. To keep you and your belongings safe, we cannot permit any loose objects on your doors-off flight. This includes hats, visors, scarves, hair clips, and strapless sandals. Eyeglasses are permissible. Hair that is long enough should be tied tightly with an elastic band. Any equipment must be secured to you via a strap.

  • I am pregnant. Can I go on your tour?

You are most welcome to fly with us through the seventh month of your pregnancy, providing you feel comfortable with the motion of the helicopter in the air, as well as wearing a regular (three-point) seatbelt across your body.
